Agnete Therkildsen, 2 December - 6 January 2000

Agnete Therkildsen (1900-1993) had her debut at 'Kunstnernes EfterÄrsudstilling' i 1939, and with numerous exhibitions in Denmark as well as abroad she is a well renowned figure in Danish art.

 

The works of Agnete Therkildsen are characterized by a kind and gentle spirit, carrying a certain insight in the secrets of the simple and straightforward.Her love for the closest aspects of life - people, animals, nature - is legendary, and in her works she combines realistic motives with abstract forms in small stories about the wonder of life.

 

The exhibitions presents a broad selection of her works, including paintings, drawings and collages.
