On the occasion of the gallery’s 30^th anniversary, Galerie Mikael Andersen would like to welcome you to the opening of the group exhibition GMA XXX AAR (GMA XXX YEARS), Thursday 13 June 2019, 4-7 pm.

In 1989, Galerie Mikael Andersen opened the doors to the very first exhibition – and now, more than 250 exhibitions later, it is time to celebrate 30 remarkable years of art in Bredgade 63.

For this exhibition, the gallery has collected a myriad of works – paintings, photographs, sculptures, drawings, ceramics – by a spectacular string of the many Danish and international artists who have contributed to and taken part in the life of Galerie Mikael Andersen over the last three decades.

With a festive and informal mix of old and new – works straight from the studios of the artists, works from the gallerist’s private collection, works from artists who have contributed since the beginning and works from artists with whom Galerie Mikael Andersen has cooperated in recent years – GMA XXX AAR presents a view of the gallery’s history and, not least, of the artists who made it all possible.
